Marielle Bouqueau qualified as a midwife from the University of Nice in 2010 and then moved to London, where she worked as a clinical midwife for a number of years. She moved to Imperial College London as a research midwife in 2014. She was part of Prof Kampmann's team specialising in paediatric infectious diseases. Her research interests included maternal and neonatal immunology, tuberculosis, antenatal and postnatal vaccination and e-health. She also completed a master's degree in Public Health at King's College London. In 2017, Marielle returned to France to take up her current position as a perinatal policy officer in the Ministry of Heath in Paris . Her role is to develop, implement and evaluate maternal and neonatal national policies and strategic orientation with international, national and local authorities, agencies and partners.
